Gary Community School Corporation Elementary Students to present Get well and
Thank You cards to Gary Police Officer who was Wounded by Gunfire
(Gary, IND) – On Wednesday, March 30th at 11:30 a.m. students, parents and administrators representing the elementary schools in the Gary Community School Corporation will gather at the Gary Police Department, 555 Polk St. to make a special presentation to Officer William Fazekas, who survived a gun shot wound while on duty early last month. Fazekas is on the mend and looks forward to greeting the young people.
“Our scholars know that those who serve and protect are real live superheroes,” said GCSC Manager Dr. Paige McNulty. “They wanted to do something special to thank Ofr. Fazekas for his bravery and to salute our Gary officers for their service.”
School officials will be joined by Gary Police Chief Brian Evans.
