Dear GCSC Families, Teachers and Staff,
GTU and district leaders have decided that our return date to in-person instruction will be on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Please know that the health and safety of our students and staff will always be at the forefront of our decision making. We will continue to monitor the data in our area and make adjustments as necessary. Please note that this Return to Learn date is for families that chose in-person learning on our district survey only. All other students will remain virtual at this time. If you are uncertain of the method that was chosen for your child or have further questions, please contact your child’s school prior to February 16th.
District leaders, GTU, building principals, and other necessary departments are working collaboratively, and around the clock to ensure that PPE and COVID-19 mitigation measures are in place for the return of staff and students. Please continue to follow our social media accounts and check our website for information, and I will continue to stay in touch with an update every 2 weeks until the return to in-person learning process has begun.
In preparation for students returning to the buildings, GCSC will be hosting a vaccination clinic on Wednesday, January 20th at West Side Leadership Academy from 9:00am until 2:00 pm. Please visit our website for information on additional vaccination clinic dates.
Overall, we are excited to begin the Return to Learn process and have missed the vibrancy that our students, families, and teachers bring to our schools and community. Thank you for all you continue to do in support of your student during this especially challenging time.
